    Default Flat head

Anyone know much about flat head, DS has a slight bit of flat head on his left side, nothing to bad but I can see it and the health nurse said its there but she's seen worse (do have I). Does it effect anything other than the look of the head? can you actually do anything to fix it?

I've tried to get DS to lay with his head to the right but he'd rather look at nothing instead of the stuff I'd put out to interest him.

I bought a pillow with a hole in it for dd who had a little bit at the back of her head. Apparently it does effect them when they have it severely but I can't remember how. Sorry.,

My friend's son had it quite bad. It's called plagiocephaly (sp?). My friend showed her paediatrician and he referred her to a physio who have her exercises to strengthen his neck muscles and he wore a special helmet for a couple of months. She also used that special pillow pp mentioned.

DS had a slightly flat part on one side because he always turned his head the same way, which went away. I would alternate which side I put him in the bassinet and when awake I'd lay him on his side.
