    Default Pre Preg exercise

    Hi guys, DH and I are TTC in 6months. Just wondering what exercise you recommend for me to do now so I'm in the best shape for pregnancy.
    Ps I don't need to loose weight, just want to be in shape

    Hi,
    if you just want to improve your general health, I'd say walking or jogging and some light weights to gain a bit of muscle strength. Start slowly if you haven't exercised in a while and listen to your body.

    I think walking would be fine, but if you are happier doing more go for it! It's health upstairs in your mind just as much as your body dont be too concerned, just be comfortable.

    Further to this, I'd also incorporate some core work - pilates is great but there's lots of things you can do. A strong core will do wonders to support the changes your body needs to go through during pregnancy. I wish I had focused more on that aspect of my fitness - and I'm a trainer who works in a gym!
