Weird or okay? Same middle name for siblings.

I gave my DD my middle name, because I like it, because it's still a "family name", and because I didn't want to use my mothers or my MILs name.

Anyway, we're expecting again and he's keen to recycle the middle name if it's a girl...

What do you honestly think? Weird or okay?
I was taken aback at first, but now I'm not sure. I'd like to know what others think.

I haven't known anyone that has dine that but if you like the idea and it is special to you and your family, then why not :thumbup:

I personally wouldn't, only because I love choosing new names but I wouldnt think it was weird if someone else did it.

The last few males in DF's family have all had John as their middle names, it was their tradition.
We're breaking it this year and going with James.

Family friends of mine have four daughters and a son - the girls all have the middle name Anne, and the son has the middle name Andrew. Not very original, but it works for them, and all the girls have uncommon first names - Bronwyn, Rosalee, Felicity and Krystyna.

I personally wouldn't do it because I think there are so many names out there why use the same one but I have heard of a number of families who have.
