Starting injectables in June

Hi all, is there anyone out there who is about to start, or has just started, injectables? I am planning to start in June. I am apparently totally clomid resistant so moving on to the next thing but having a month off before starting. I would be interested to know how people find the injectables. Thanks for any replies x

I'm hoping to start next Thurs littledove so will join you here and give you the heads up how I'm finding it cause sounds like I'll be about 2 weeks ahead of you. Not sure what to expect but after 2 nothing rounds on clomid I'm pleased to be moving onto something else so quickly

How long have you been on this ride? What else have you tried?

Hi greenfairy! I've seen you on the injectable thread, how's it going? I think I read you started injecting today! I hope day 1 went well. We have been ttc for almost a year now. Clomid didn't work! Never even got close to getting a follie hence on to injections as of June. I just really needed a month off from pills and scans and blood tests. I got too caught up in all so I'm having time out and so far it's been so great! How long have you been ttc?

Hi littledove, sounds like we have a similar story. I went of pill July11 and I've been waiting for a normal cycle since. Found out dec11 I've got PCOS and got referred to fs from there. I did two rounds of clomid and had no growth either so now straight to fsh. Starting on 50iu for 6 doses and scanning next tues. I thought DP was going to be doing my injections but he chickened out so I'm doing them myself. It really isn't bad at all and it's true that you can't even feel it. I'm feeling ok, just a bit of a headache and nausea but I think that's from metformin

We are just doing timed sex this cycle (providing I get a follie and not 10! And that it doesn't happen when DP is on a fishing trip for 5 days from next sat!!!) but I'm keen for iui next cycle if this one doesn't work out.
Glad you are enjoying your break and getting in the right headspace for this next step. I love having girls to chat to on bh that understand all this

Hi again, your story is so similar to mine, I found out I had PCOS in dec '11 as well!
I have just changed FS this last week as I discovered a conflict of interest with my last guy, so seeing my new FS for the first time early June. Did you see a fertility nurse to learn about administering the injections? I had wondered about that. I think we'll do timed intercourse to start with too, then IUI if no success there! Im a bit worried about getting lots of follies and ending up with multiples.
I'm really pleased for you that your first day went well and that it was better than you thought... I wish you a short stint with the injections and a quick BFP!
I am so pleased you replied to my original post, I also love having buddies on here to chat too esp when what you're going through is so similar

can i join this too please, i starting injecting in june too but not till the middle i think it works out to be, I have been on clomid but nothing happened at all so i start my first iui next month,

How are you going with the wait for yours Tantom?

I'm feeling surprisingly ok about my tww atm. Really looking forward to the long weekend - deck building happening, 30th birthday party organizing and seeing "what to expect when you're expecting" with a friend, can't wait

Work is as crap as ever but keeps me out of mischief and helps fund the treatments I guess. I think I'm as excited about having an excuse to stop work as I am about having a bub - is that bad?

so glad the tww is being nice to you, I started injecting this morning, so easy don't know why I was stressing about it lol, hopefully we all get our BFP this cycle

Glad it's so far so good for you Tantom, I was a bit the same - wondered what I had been worried about. I didn't have any dramas or side effects at all over the 16 days. Time will tell how we went but even if it's a bfn least I'm a step closer and know the injections work. When do you have your first scan? I haven't really been having bt like some people seem to? I had a scan on day 6 of injecting, day 12, day 14 and day 17 which was when I had my trigger. What dose are you starting on?
