False Advertising??

I am religious, but I do think it was wrong of the church to have that on a big billboard.

I believe God uses science and medicine to help people...the two don't have to be mutually exclusive.

Anyway, I don't want to get into a huge debate about it, but I do agree that putting that on a large billboard was over stepping the mark.

I think it could of been worded differently. Maybe saying "The power of prayer will help you fight the battle" or something similar. Not directly saying that he does cure cancer as sadly that can be taken as misleading.

It's all wording but I think maybe a discussion with the church regarding their wording on signs would be more approriate then a ruling of false advertising.

Seems the 'good' discriminates based on privilege ( individual access to money and power)... But the 'evil' doesn't.

I guess it's false advertising depending on who is reading the billboard. My gran would swear up and down the block that prayers cured her cancer.

I'd say that modern medicine cured cancer but spiritual peace and acceptance made you less stressful and helped significantly. But I'm a sucker for praying. I can honestly say that I've been blessed with most of my prayers answered.
