Entertaining a 1yo

Looking for some new ideas to do with my 1yo. She is getting bored and needs some extra stimulation. She is very active running around so id really like some energy burning ideas as well as learning activities.

I always found rotating the activities/toys throughout the day seemed to help their 'short' attention span lol..
like colouring with crayons then packing away. Getting the Duplo or blocks out and help building towers and knocking them over. When they get distracted, time to pack away and start another, like puzzles, play dough etc. I found getting them to help pack things away let the mess not to build up and then you're not overwhelmed with toys everywhere.
Mine always loved helping cleaning, I just used to give them a baby wipe and let them clean floors, windows etc it kept them amused for a little while anyway!

I used to let DD 'help' me with housework. When hanging out hte clothes she'd give me the pegs and we would say the colour out loud. When cooking I'd pop her in the high chair and hand her raw veges whilst I was chopping them and we'd chat about the colour/texture etc. When cleaning - i'd give her a clean chux and let her 'clean' the house.

I also took her to playgroup, the library rhyme session and kindyroo/gymbaroo/tiny tot session as well as the park and occ an indoor playcentre if the weather was really wet. Friends houses were also part of the regular routine.

Playdough
Painting (inc fingerpainting) - heck, kids are meant to get messy ! - you can put plastic over a kids table and then put paper on it to paint on. You don't need an easel.
Blocks - big & easy to hold
Bowl (eg. laundry bucket - the rectangular, not deep type) with warm soapy water and plastic stuff to 'wash' - set it up on a towel in the kitchen while you're making dinner/cleaning the kitchen
sandpit
walks - always fun
swing in the backyard
wooden spoon & metal saucepans - lots of noise, but will keep little ones happy for a while
drawing with crayons on a big piece of paper
big cardboard box for cubby house/peak-a-boo/etc - we have got car seat boxes from the car seat fitter at our local baby bunting - they just put them in the recycling, so they are happy for us to take them instead
push along toys like a pram/lawn mover/vacuum cleaner
