Default Unsure of pregnancy test results

As my username suggests, I've had 3 light postive HPTs in the past week.

Anyone ever had an incorrect positive using the brands Confirm or First Response??

I haven't used confirm but i have never had a false positive on a first response, they are great. I had a faint but clear pos on first response 5 days before my periods were due. If your still unsure, do a digital test

First response is brillant and NO pregnancy test will give you a false positive only a false negitive.. Some peeps get confused by a evap line if they look at the test after it says to read it?

    Can you post a pic?
    When is your period due?
Are you using first morning urine or during the day?

Yup, using my first morning urine... The line appears after about a minute. I havent been back and had a look at it since. Ill see if I can get a pic up on here?!

With my first baby the positive line was just so much darker I think Im having trouble believing it.

Fr are very reliable. You will get an Evap line that has no colour, if you have two pink lines you're pregnant.

3 positive tests means there is a baby growing inside of you...

You can get a false positive. I have experienced this. About 6 months after having my DS I was getting faint positives using first response, the lines weren't getting darker so I went to the doctors for a blood test. The first hcg result was 2 and so was the second hcg result a week later so definitely not pregnant. The doctor said 2 and above was classed as pregnant as long as the levels keep rising.

I also rang the first response help line as I was confused as to why I was getting a false positive and they said that hcg levels as low as 2 can be detected.

So in conclusion, if your tests aren't getting any darker and AF still hasn't arrived definitely get a couple of blood tests to see what is happening.

Cheetara, Im sorry to hear that but for you to have a HCG reading even as low as 2 then it meant that the sperm met the egg and then the emybro emplanted so that the placenta could make HCG for it to be detected..

The only time you would have a false positive would be if you were taking some fertility drugs but you would be told this..

That's very interesting, my doctor did not explain it that way at all. He just said it was very unusual so that was no help. I like your explanation so thank you (I wasn't using fertility drugs either).
