Rocket!! Yay, that is such great news and just gives me the biggest smile!

Angenrod - wow that's low! Was your HCG ok? Are the scans done by your doctor or at an ultrasound clinic? That would get pricy! That's great everything is going good and I would love for you to keep me updated? It would be so reassuring to hear of a success story as I'm going along into it too.

Wishing you all the best for the rest of your pregnancy!

My hcg was ok at 1.2. The nt measurement was ok too at 1.9 (I think). I have the scans done at an ultrasound clinic and I'm bulk billed each time except for the 19w scan where I had to pay $150. They measure everything in the 2 week scans and check th flow of blood from placenta to baby and back out of baby. They also check to see if bubs is drinking etc. so far all is good and I'm relaxing through this pregnancy. Have my next scan tmrw!

Hello everyone. I have just had nt results with 2 mm fold, hcg 0.99, Papp-a 0.11 giving a risk of t21 1:11, t13 1:39, t18 1:33. I have already had one bleed, have very high blood pressure and have been told that even if the amio is good I will probably not carry to term, the outlook is bleak. It took 18 months to get pregnant with my second child and now I may lose it. I had a terrible first pregnancy with preeclampsia, gestational diabetes and the beginning of liver failure. Can anyone tell me of a positive outcome with such bad test results. I need some hope as I am now 13 weeks and have to wait another 3 weeks for the amio as I can't have the cvs as my risk of miscarriage could be as high as 1:20.

Sand fairy- look at my above post. My results are VERY similar to yours. Almost identical (blood test result). I'm now 26 weeks today and I've also been told that I won't carry to term. I'm having fortnightly scans for growth, and have had them f/n since week 13. Id be asking my dr to do the same for you, If I was u. So far all is good and progressing well. I may have GD, will find out next week. Good luck and keep us updated.

Sand fairy- sorry, my results may be in page 1. They were hcg 1.2, Papp-a 0.07, and nt measurement 1.9mm.

Thank you. I can't focus on anything right now. I am glad to hear that there are people with terrible numbers but still growing beautiful babies. I wish you all the very best of luck and I am keeping my fingers crossed for all of us.

Hi sandfairysam! I'm sorry to hear your results, it's so overwhelming isn't it! My results are similar to yours with nt 2.1mm HCG .6 and Papp-a .17 but I have heard of many success stories. I tried to focus on the fact that in the ultrasound the baby looked all good, it's just the bloods that give those scary numbers (1 in 19 for me) I guess the hurdle for us will come around 28 weeks when we will see if the placenta is doing its job or not, and as Angenrod said you'll be monitored closely and if the baby does need to come out a little too early, we have some of the best doctors and neonatal hospitals in the world.
My doc wouldn't let me have the CVS either so I am waiting for my amnio which is on June 7th - feels like a lifetime away!!! And if the amnio comes back ok we are not in the clear yet.
Good luck with your amnio and I'll keep you posted about mine.

    Cheers

Hi Sjcreevey. Thanks for your post. Like you I am pretty scared at the moment but trying to hold on to the idea that things could be fine. My amio is on the 12th June so I too have a bit of a wait. I am trying my best to stay positive. I'll let you know how the amio goes, all the best with yours.
