Yep - I had a scan last week just to rule out ectopic. We saw the sac right there in the uterus where it should be, so we felt much better. But as I had another little bleed on Saturday I'm worried again. Was too early to see anything else at that point though. Another scan tomorrow to see if there's anything in the sac, and hopefully see/hear heartbeat!

Resting is definitely good. Maybe take tomorrow off work too if you can.

I'm glad they've ruled out ectopic for you! Good luck with the scan tomorrow!!

Tomorrow is my day off so I'm hoping the extra day this week will be just what I need! I will only be leaving the house for another blood test once I hear from the doc!

Obviously I was further along, but at 14 weeks I lost a massive amount of blood. It was like I'd wet myself, all in a sudden gush. I was sure it was over, but it wasn't. I kept bleeding randomly up to around week 20. They never really found the reason, they thought maybe if was an artery on the cervix being put under pressure. Anyway, that baby I thought I'd lost is now an enormous 8mo. The doctors said she was completely unbothered by the bleeding.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Wow that would've been stressful for you!! I'm glad to hear it all worked out for you and you have a healthy bub!!
As much as I don't like to hear other people being so stressed out by the same or similar situation but it's nice to hear others going through it and having the happy ending!!

I had a bleed at 14 weeks too. I was coughing very hard due to a cold one night when all of a sudden I felt like I wet myself. It was bright red blood and a fair amount of it. I had a scan and bub was fine, and I continued to bleed brown blood a further 2 weeks. Once I'd had the scan I could relax, but it was still stressful and frustrating to see blood during the pregnancy. That baby is now nearly 7 months old

    So an update...(Sorry for TMI)

The bleeding and general tight/cramp feeling has continued but I've tried as best I can to not freak out.

I managed to get a cancellation booking at my doc on Monday. The doc said that the bleeding was normal and quite common to have bleeding similar to what I would get around the middle of my period. (phew!!)
He sent me off for blood and urine test and a referral for ultrasound. I wasn't able to do the urine test because of the bleeding but I did get the blood tests.

I called this morning to get the results and the HCG level was 124. The receptionist said that there was no request for me to go in and the doc had written a comment of "low positive". She said that if the doc wasn't happy with the results or felt he needed to talk to me, he would've made sure I knew.
I took that as a good thing but I had absolutely no idea what this number meant. After doing some reading, I thought I'd call the doc again to see if I could get another blood test to compare the numbers and see if the number is rising or falling. I haven't heard back as yet so will be calling again in the morning.

We're still feeling a bit mixed on the results as we have no idea if it has dropped to 124 or if it is rising so we will keep our fingers crossed. It would be wonderful to get excited about it as we've been trying for nearly 4yrs but we're trying to keep ourselves positive.
Hopefully I can get another blood test tomorrow and if the number is bigger than I think we'll get a bit excited. As for the ultrasound, I don't really want to book in for that until I do another blood test. If my HCG levels are rising, I would like to have the first ultrasound at a stage where we will hear the heartbeat, but obviously if the doc says to have it to make sure everything's ok then we will absolutely get it done.

Today the bleeding has eased, only occasionally bleeding when going to the toilet. It is still very much like my period which is still stressful but I am reminding myself that my doc said this is normal at this stage.

Thanks again to everyone! I will keep you updated on everything as soon as anything happens.
Glad to hear. No news is good news as they say so if your doc isn't concerned that's positive.

    Quick update..

The doc called this morning and said that he doesn't want me to get another blood test but to do the ultrasound as we had discussed.

Any ideas on why he wouldn't want me to have a blood test? Wouldn't it be good to see if my HCG levels are rising?

I'm fairly stressed about it all today as I had a big bleed this morning and a big clot (if that's what I should be calling it) came out....now I don't feel anything. The past few days I've been feeling like something was inside of me but now I just feel nothing.
I'm hoping that it's just the worry playing mind tricks on me but I can't get the thought out of my head. I guess it's going to be a long wait for my ultrasound next week....

If you have an hcg < 1000 not much may show on scan. Really hoping you get answers soon. This must be so stressful right now.

I have no idea why your doctor doesn't want you to get another BT. If iI were you I would insist on it as well as the scan. Realistically with such low HCG levels you will not see much, if anything, on the scan yet anyway, and what you want at this stage is for the HCG to be rising quite rapidly.

Good luck, I really really hope it's ok for you
