    When I moved from QLD to Melbourne I went into a fish a chip shop and asked for a scallop and walked out with this fish thingy that I'd never seen before. I was like, what the?!?!?

    I now call them potato cakes!!!

    When I moved to VIC I went to get fish and chips with dad and asked for some scallops. To which I got fish, lol. When I asked the people where my potato scallops were, they informed me they call them potato cakes! They thought I was silly wanting potato scallops...

    I live in NQ (always have) and only known them as potato scallops.

    I think every single one of you ladies that have posted on this thread are extremely rude and highly inconsiderate... there are pregnant women reading this!! And now I'm sitting at home, craving a gosh darn potato scollop and I can't have one!!! *hmmmpfff! Stamps feet!*
