Rachael - They take a biopsy from your uterine wall to test for NK cells. Some FS only take a BT but that gives alot of false results. The biopsy should be done around CD 24 to CD 26 but must be done when you aren't in an active cycle. During this time your aren't cycling would be perfect time to have the test but it will all depend on your FS. There are alot that don't believe NK cells make a difference but I have a 10 month old who wouldn't be here if I hadn't of been tested and treated.

    Good luck

Thanks hoping4asticky1, since we have to miss a cycle before going back to IVF i.e get a BFN and AF arrives and wait for the next AF before another cycle can we do the test in-between then since we have to miss a month anyway? Is it expensive or painful?

Rachael - You should be able to, as long as your FS will do the biopsy. It can take up to 6 weeks to get results in some parts of the country and some FS wont let you cycle again until you get the results. Unfortunately it is something you will have to get your FS on board with.

My biopsy cost me nothing but that was in Adelaide through my clinic. I have read across the threads here that some people to have to pay a bit for it.

My biopsy was uncomfortable and I did get some pain but I know other people have had no pain or problems. It really is an individual thing.

Hope you can talk your FS around to testing for you

Thanks again. I have read a lot of people have done the test, I'd rather get the all clear now than wait 5 more cycles and find out I have it. Since he doesn't think I have I should not have to wait for results but start the next cycle straight away.

Will be calling him today with a few other questions and will bring this up again. Thanks for the info it has helped a lot!

Thanks for all the info girls and sorry for not replying sooner. Sometimes you just want to get away from the whole IVF, infertility, sadness blah blah blah and not think about anything to do with it. I did ask the question though....!
Started the Doxy last week and will start the Pred on Wednesday with EPU next week sometime. A little bit down at the moment and not very confident. Does anyone else get the "flogging a dead horse" blues??

hi tropogirl, "flogging a dead horse" am I ever! I'm starting a stim cycle and wanted to know what cycle day did you start your doxy and how many mg. do you take? Also the prednisolone how many mg? I started my prednisolone on CD1 20mg, my FS never really gives me any instructions and I seem to make it up asI go along. Hope your cycle works out.

I have another good story. Went on the steroids and aspirin again, dh swimmers are normal and he naturally fertilised eggs that my fs left behind at EPU.

    Hi ladies,
I like this thread! It's nice to hear other people have these stupid cells. I'm 29, when I was almost 28 I was diagnosed with low amh (1.5 to be exact! Very low).. I've done ivf iui's and have had 3 m/c and an ectopic pregnancy.
Up until 2 months ago, I was tested for these cells and had other tests done.
I have HEAPS of them at cd21!! And to put the icing on the cake a blood disorder!!
So my poor emir tries to implant, my body sees it as a virus, then my body sheds it! Crazy! So I was told to test like crazy every month, as soon as a bfp comes to get on prednisone and clexanyne..
So.... I sound out I was pregnant last week and started these... Working so far but they hurt like hell!!!!
