we used to have seahorses in our aquarium at home and seadragons at the big one. love that last link too - especially the anglerfish. didn't know about that mating ritual!!
I loved his kung fu moves at the start. It didn't say anything about a pouch (or a man-gina!), and it looked like the eggs stayed under the rock?

Am I the only one who got a bit of satisfaction out of watching a male give birth?

After seeing all the babies it reminded me of one of my favourite parenting moments...

When I was with one of my few randoms, we had just DTD for the first time, I look over to my left and look at his fish tank and remarked "now i know sex led to babies but Damn that was quick"

While we were getting it on about 100 fish eggs had hatched in his tank and we had to scramble to make up a new home for all these little babies before they met the demise of living in captivity (Filter/folks not being able to differentiate between dinner & offspring)

It was a bit of a joke between us about fishy babies for a bit after that.
