I felt like a failure with a referral to the EBC and am really concerned about how it will work. It is nice to know that there are others out there though that feel the same.
You poor thing! Getting help is not failing. I think a lot of my Pnd was made worse by sleep deprivation. I hope it works out for you.

    Hi Mum2Bugalugs,
I was just wondering if you have been to Ellen Barron yet? I have a referral in at present and waiting for a date to go. My 6 1/2 month old only sleeps for 1/2 hr cathaps all day and is therefore very tired by the end of each day. She is still very difficult to get to sleep and keep asleep at night. She sometimes wakes up several times before I even get into bed. I have resorted to her sleeping next to me but she still constantly wakes. I am hoping they can help me too as the longest period I have slept without being woken in the past 4 months is 4 hrs and that was still with her next to me. She was very content until about 11weeks old and then she started to become difficult to get to sleep and keep asleep. As this is my second child I was determined that I wouldn't make the same mistakes as with my first child but I still can't stand to listen to her cry so here I am again sleep deprived and very exhausted.

Hi Krand, sorry I only just saw this... No we didn't end up going to the sleep school, didn't even end up going I get a referral because by some amazing miracle DD started sleeping 1000 times better!! It happened just out of no where about 2 weeks after I posted this, I changed absolutely nothing about our routine or tending to her needs. She's now sleeping 10-12 hours most nights, some nights waking once but with no screaming. It has been such a relief!

I really hope your little one starts sleeping better, or you're able to get the help and support your need. Sleep deprivation has to be one of the worst things in the world. GBH to you xxx

    Default Thanks Mum2 buga lugs

Thankyou for your reply. I am booked in to attend in late August. I hope that something works and she starts sleeping longer during her day naps and nighttime. It is a bit daunting going all that way as I live in Cairns but I'm sure it will be worth it.

Can someone explain the layout? Is baby in a room with you? What about when you will have a boarder? (Dd4.5)

Baby is in its own room within the room. Not sure about what happens if you have another child with you I only saw the parents and the baby being helped. Didn't notice siblings or anything. Good luck
