Adelaide is one i had on my list but i couldn't use because i didn't want people thinking it was after the city (especially since i live in SA ). It is such a beautiful name though!

It does seem to be gaining in popularity though, if that bothers you.
that's what i was thinking, i have heard of quite a few little girls with the name recently.

Me neither! I never think of the city, but then I like Sydney as well for a girl. so maybe i'm weird!

My bestfriend was tossing up using it (she went with Annabelle) so maybe I've just gotten so used to it as a name. Others will too if you went with it!

I like Adeline, Adelaide, Mabel, Pearl and Violet. I think Matilda and Charlotte are a bit too common. Not sure on Clementine.

Adeline was on our list, I really love it.
As for a shortened name for Violet, how about Lettie?

Love Adeline Pearl and Clementine. I would use Clem as a NN for Clementine. My DD is Charlotte and she gets Lottie.

Well, DS2 would've been Clementine, so that gets my vote! Also really love Adelaide and Pearl....actually I think they're all beautiful.
