We have a front loader, my brain isn't working so can't tell you brand etc. it's decent size and all that though.

If I were to get a new machine it'd be a top loader, I hate that I can't throw some things in just after I start the wash! Also I stress that one of the cats could get trapped in there without my knowing. Stress head. And of course once you start a front loader you can't just open the door.

Another must have on a machine for me is a quick wash cycle. One that means you only have to wait between 20 and 40 mins for your clothes to come out

I've had an LG 7.5 kg front loader for about 5 years. Hasn't missed a beat despite doing about 2 loads every day. There are some downsides, it doesn't say how far you are thru the cycle. But it's cheap on powder (I just use top loader powder and use half as much), cheap on water, and most loads I put on the quick cycle which is only 30 mins. It also has a child lock to stop mishaps, which I like.

never go back to a top loader again
