    Default royal hobart hospital

    was just wondering if anyone has been threw the birth centre at the royal in Hobart an what was ur experience like i was wondering how different it is from the kym program ??????

    I did the get to know your midwife program so not sure about the birth centre.
    However I had a very postive experiance at the royal. I was given a private room and left to labor. The midwives I had where not the ones in the program because they where not on at the time. But all the midwives I met there where fantastic and very pro natural birth. (I did end up with an epi but only because I ask/screamed for one, the midwives where encouraging me to do it natural and all said I was doing really well but at the end of the day they can not legally refuse you pain med... Wish I listened to them)
    Only thing was I had to fight not to be induced because the OBs dont like you to go over your due date too much. But if you stand your ground then it's ok.
    Overall it's one of the best public hospitals I have ever been too.
