    Black with black stockings is the thing to do.

    If the dress is like that, I'd probably get cuban-heeled (or not) seamed stocking tbh. Totally sexy, but not OTT. You can get some slightly fancier seams... thing is, they're a b*tch to put on because you have to seriously work at making sure the seams are straight.

    I personally love the patterned stockings. Sports-girl have some really nice ones at the moment, and Leona Edminston also makes some great ones.

    I like the first dress and think no tights are required at all. Your legs are not too white... they're the same colour as the rest of you. BTW, pale is sexy and elegant. Look at all glamours from the 60s or earlier... most will be pale and divine.
