Was brought up on white rice. Switched to brown when I moved in with DH. And then we tried balsmati and havent looked back.

I love brown rice! I found a sushi bar a while back that made a tuna sushi roll on brown rice, it was delicious

We use both. I prefer brown rice, but of course it takes more planning.
My partner prefers white, but he's happy with brown rice for most things.

I dislike brown rice. I don't like the texture of it, despite knowing it's better for us.

I'm not generally a rice fan... but LOVE aborio in paella or risottos... I just love the way it swells and it kind of wetter.

I switched us to brown a few years ago. Except for risotto, tried with brown but it just doesn't work.

    This either...

Hence my quoting of other posts

I love brown rice best, however, use arborio for risotto, sushi rice for sushi, jasmine for quick fried rice but I'm switching from jasmine to basmati as I heard basmati has the same gi as brown.

My DH prefers white options when given (rice/bread etc) however, my kids have been brought up with brown options and seem fine with them(never complain).

I don't really like rice but out of the two I much much prefer brown rice, unfortunately DF hates it... But I still cook it probably half the time anyway!
