Default Anyone been to Prof Rob McLachlan for MFI?

    Hi all,
We've just had a call to say that DH needs to see Prof McLachlan urgently at Monash ivf as his sperm counts have dropped dramatically over past 3 cycles.

I'm keen to hear from anyone who has been to him. Not sure what to expect. Am nervous and need to know what's ahead!!! If anyone has been to him and is happy to share their experiences, I'd just love to hear from you.

    Thanks everyone!
    xx

    Hey again Lannie,

He's really good and knows a lot about MFI. My DH has a very rare condition that causes all his ejaculated sperm to be 99% dead with completely normal count. Rob was able to figure this out and not only is he interested in getting you a baby he is interested in finding the causes of MFI. You'll be in good hands! I went with DH to his appts with Rob and it was really weird for my DH to be the one subjected to poking and prodding by the FS instead of me

    Hi Aka,
THanks for your reply. Wow! It seems to be very fortunate that you were able to see Prof McLauchlin. I am so glad that they managed to get to the bottom for the MFI for you, and even more pleased about your BFP!!!
I am going to give him a call this morning to make an appointment. I just hope that we don't have to wait too long to see him or DH mightn't have any sperm left!!! Also calling Monash asap this morning to arrange to have some sperm frozen as a back up for any future cycles.
Thanks again and wishing you all the best.

Congratulations on being pregnant!!! Not long to go now I see. That is such exciting news. I feel much more reassured knowing that we'll be in good hands. Thanks for the reply and all the best in the lead up to the arrival of your beautiful princess!
