    Default Bad parent thread...

What do you do, or what do you let your kids do to get 5 minutes peace?

    Please, no nastiness.

I sometimes buy my kids a donut so they will sit quietly in the trolley at the shopping centre.

Sometimes my kids want to play in the car after we get home from going out, so I sit just outside next to the car and play on my phone while they play.

Lollipops - not the organic ones either if things are bad..
Load them in their carseats and then go back inside and do my makeup..
TV TV and more TV with plates of food.
Endless episodes of playschool on the iPad (abc iview)
White bacon and cheese rolls to get around the supermarket..

Lol. I do the same if i gotta race into woolies. He goes straight to the toys while i get what i need to get. If i am doing big shop though, he will do most with me apart from last 3 aisles where he is at the toys by himself.

Funny you should start a thread on this... I'm currently hiding in my bed with Dora blaring from the lounge room even though it's meant to be quiet time before bed. All so I can be left alone for halfa.

TV at home if I need to get ready to go somewhere/ get something done/ stay sane.

TV on phone/ tablet if out at a restaurant and crankiness starts to appear.

Non optimal food choices sometimes when desperate, as DD is nearly 2 and can go several days eating almost nothing (and then getting constipated, and then eating nothing as she has belly ache, and then repeat). Sometimes I'm just happy if she eats anything, even if it is chocolate or a chip.
