What is your concern? Having the amnio or her having a child with Down syndrome?
My concern is the possibility of her having a high needs child. At the moment she has a 10 month old and also a 3 year old. Her husband has just been transferred to another state where he works 7 days a week and she doesn't know a soul. I just think she will struggle being on her own and abortion is definatly out of the question so I'm just praying that everything will be normal.

From a practicality issue then I completely understand your concerns. But babies with Down syndrome are no more work than any other baby but you're right, its not always an easy road. Trust me, if your sister already has 2 toddlers she's a very strong, patient and dedicated woman. I hope that your sister has a very healthy and happy pregnancy and is blessed with a beautiful healthy child regardless of how many chromosomes s/he has. Congratulations Aunty!
