    Thanks our surname is hard - nothing rhymes with it. Although it starts in a b and ends in a.

    We are trying to find Slavic, Italian or Similar names as thats what goes best.

    DH has suggested Alessandro.

    Thoughts? And how did you pronounce it?

    Another name up for consideration is Vladimir - what do you think of it? Would he get teased at school?

    Vladimir sounds indeed Slavic or even Transylvania (as in vampire-ish lol). On the other hand, it is original and I doubt you'll find a lot of Vladimirs around in Australia.
    Alessandro is nice. I would pronounce it as Ale-SANNNN-dro!
    If that makes sense at all lol.

    The story of Dracula was apparently inspired by a man called Vlad the Impaler back in the 1400s. Not a nice guy! I quite like Tiago or Diego for boys names, I think they may be Spanish or Portuguese in origin though.
