Hi , milk will wipe off easily. Thrush won't. So try wiping it off and if it goes it's milk.

As Melzy said. When my DS had thrush you could see it quite clearly. It hurt when he fed. He was clearly in pain. I guess if it was just milk the baby wouldn't appear bothered in any way.

We went to the doctor and he prescribed something. I can't even remember. Ds at the time had a throat infection, mouth ulcers and oral thrush.

There are drops you can get at the chemist but if its babies first time having it i would advise you take bub to the doctor first.
    hope Bubz gets well soon

Assuming you are in Aus. Nilstat. It's available over the counter at the chemist. If you take bub the pharmacist will be able to have a look and confirm its oral candida (thrush).. The Dr told me to only give my 5 week old 1ml morning and night - as opposed to the 1ml X 4 times daily on the instructions. Also if you are breastfeeding, put some on your nipples.

Nilstat or daktarin are available from a pharmacist. Go to your local pharmacy and speed to someone there.
