Default Chocolate mousse with raw egg?

We're having dinner at a friends place tomorrow night and we're bring dessert. I just made raspberry chocolate mousse and NOW I think about the raw eggs that are in it.

I am 10 weeks and my friend is 26 weeks.
Would you eat this dessert? I am very strongly leaning to the 'yes' side... and I've eaten quite a few spoonfuls already...

Nope, not unless it was freshly made. IMO having a 24+ hour period between preparation and consumption would put me off, pregnant or not

So you're saying I should just eat them all tonight by myself?

As hard as it would be to turn down (sounds delish!) I'd have to say no, I wouldn't eat it.

Nope, to be honest I would not eat anything containing raw eggs pregnant or not. You absolutely cannot give it to your friend!

I just messaged her and she reckons it's totally fine and she's happy to eat it.
Now I'm feeling paranoid though! Ahh!

I've seen a few cooking shows suggest that the egg has been somewhat 'cooked' with the sugar and beating. I know you can 'burn' eggs if you leave them combined with sugar for too long without finishing the recipe. Another example supposedly is the American egg nog, the sugar and alcohol apparently cook or 'cure' the proteins in the egg making it safe (obviously still not safe in pregnancy with the alchomahol *hick* ).

I'd eat your mousse and love it!

    Happy baking,
    Sam

I'd eat it. If I knew the ingredients were fresh, and had been stored properly, if I knew the mousse had been stored properly, and if it hadn't spent too long going from place to place, and from bowl to belly

I did when I was pregnant, my cousin made this mousse, and I just died and went to heaven, so asked for the recipe and whaddya know? It's made from raw eggs?! I was a bit worried, and then decided there were just SO many other things to worry about.

    Now I want mousse!!!
