Apologies if you've already seen this ...

There's a bub in there! Last week we could only see the gestational sac. This time we saw that, and the yolk sac within, as well as the fetal pole and the flickering heart!! It was amazing! I'm so relieved. I felt physically ill with nerves on the way there, and so did DH. FS even printed up the picture and put it in a little display card saying congratulations from IVF Australia. Very cute.

The measurement was 4.5 mm, which puts it at 6 weeks 2 days - whereas going by LMP, it would be 6 weeks 6 days. He wasn't at all bothered by that, and even said at such a small size the scan could be a millimetre out and that makes the difference of a few days. or even just because it was a bit slow for the HCG to take off. So I guess we won't know for sure until I see the ob on 15th and it's a bit easier to measure. But by the standard LMP dates, EDD is 20/12 ... by his dates from measurement today it's Christmas Eve! Eeeek! I've been told by multiple doctors that I need a C section though, so he said that would make it between 10th & 17th. I think 12/12/12 is the lucky charm, but will see what the ob says.

    Yay! Yay! Yay!

Thanks ladies! Just to clarify, we didn't hear anything. It was an internal scan ... and I don't think you can actually hear the heartbeat until a while further along.

BUT we saw it! Little flicking/flashing/pulsating movement. Was so cool.

I don't have any morning sickness, and am supposed to be 7 weeks today. I have read that it doesn't usually kick in until 7 or 8 weeks though. I've had a few moments of not feeling crash hot, but very minor really and never to the stage where I actually felt I was going to be crash hot.

So I have started taking B6 for nausea, so far not sure if it's actually doing anything. Does this have to build up in your system before you benefit?

Didn't know I could get even more tired...

Trying something new for indigestion too- Zantac (mylanta not working), which is a tablet twice a day I'm taking, first day today- so far so good.

Other than that I'm good... Counting the days till Wednesday!! I think the rest of my family is too

Zak!!!!! Oh me too. I'm sleeping at 8 pm latest.

No vomiting but constantly unsettled stomach. Can't tell anymore if hungry or stuffed full. Will need to get B6.

I'm counting down to my scan too on Wed. A good scan is all I want for Mother's Day.

Hope everyone is well. I feel a hypocrite for whinging about EPS when others aren't pregnant yet but it's hard not too.

Gee, lucky you. I'd give anything for some proper sleep. I'm stupidly tired but can't actually sleep. This morning it was DH's fault - 6am he woke me up with his heavy breathing & snorting. On a Saturday! So not happy.

Went to friends' house for dinner last night - it was just the 4 of us, so I sipped very occasionally at a glass of wine so as not to arouse suspicion. They live really close too so prob thought it was strange that I was driving at all. I had just over half the glass the whole night. And of course she served pate and one of those cream cheesey/herby wheel things as nibblies. I had a tiny bit of the cheese as I think cream cheese is ok, and figured she would have just bought it & opened it new. I said to DH before we went, "I'll just bet the nibblies will be smoked salmon & brie or something". Ha - close enough! Jeez, socialising is a minefield when you can't tell anyone.
