    Hm I submitted them a day or two after DDs birth but they refused to process it until they received a copy of her birth certificate (which took its sweet time - about 2 weeks for that) and another 2 weeks for Centrelink to process it. So received started receiving payments when DD was just over one month.

    Wow I must be lucky, my DS was born on a friday, put his forms in on the monday morning after he was born (lodged forms at a centrelink office) and I got my first baby bonus payment on the wednesday. I was shocked, definitely not normal for it to be so fast though

    Ours took 4 working days over the the Easter period. Was very surprised.

    Mine was about 3 weeks from time I handed in forms!!
    I was also told though it could take up to 6 wks I was like what ??? But it was only 3

    Just an update... We got our first payment the other day, just under two weeks after submitting the forms

    Did anyone else get sent a paper copy of their electronic lodgment to sign? I did and the income figures were wrong. I don't know why, my claim still has the info I put in correctly, but their printed version was well out!

    I didn't have this last time though, so wonder why we're having to sign it and send back??
