Default any tips on getting bub to fall asleep

my DD is 4 weeks old and I am having terrible trouble getting her to settle and fall asleep even when I hold/rock her to sleep. I rocked my son to sleep in my arms and couldn't break the habit until he was 12 months old so I would rather not do that this time.
any ideas on how to get my DD to fall asleep on her own??

At this age I can only recommend placing them on your chest and patting or rubbing their backs if rocking them asleep is not what you want to do.

    Or in a carrier/pram.

Have you tried singing or using some music or white noise?

    Have you tried a dummy?

We also use the 4s routine, but didn't start this until a bit older. http://www.mybabysleepguide.com/sear...4%20S%20Ritual

If she is having trouble sleeping due to belly pains, have you tried infacol or similar?
