Oh poor you, I had it a couple of years ago, I took anti-inflammatorys and did some exercises my GP showed me. I remember not being able to sleep on my sides either at night. I believe they can inject steroids into the joint if its really bad. Hopefully they start getting better soon.

My husband had this. He had a bone spur growing into the bursa in one hip. He was getting huge pain in his back especially when running. He had an op, removed the bone and he's perfect now. Took ages to be diagnosed - MRI and then an injection of local anesthetic into the area and he went for a run to see if it made a difference. He saw a sports surgeon who sorted him out!

I had bursitis in my left hip a few yrs back. Had a cortisone injection and it did settle but to be honest, I don't think it's ever completely disappeared. Take it easy

I have it in my left leg primarily. I didn't have the cortisone injection, I did myotherapy on my leg when it got really bad and heat packs and panadol osteo. I also started going to the gym once a week for strengthening and stretching and it seems to have made a big difference. Only time it truly bothers me is at night in bed, yet to find an answer for that one.

    hi

i have had this on and off for a few years. recently it flared up when pg....i saw a physio for once a week, stretching exercises and some acupunture..this did help to some extent but omg the massage did hurt at first, he only massaged it for like a few minutes initially. if not pg u can take anti-imflammatorys too. i also read that u need to rest it when it flares up too. if bad u can operate it. ouch it hurts..i know.

I have it in my right hip. Have had three cortisone injections. One under ultrasound. It's only the third under ultrasound that has made any difference. Heat packs, panadol osteo and swim are my only suggestions.

arghhh that sounds like some not so good news ladies! Its still so very sore, almost makes me vomit. Both hips are killing, I've had rotacuff injuries to my shoulder in the past, and now my left elbow feels like my hips Surely they can fix this. I've got to go back to the dr next week if its still this painful.

Thing is, im very active. I play soccer 3 times a week, go to the gym, walk a lot. Im only 25 and weigh 54kg so really, theres no reason why i should get this sort of stuff.
Dr prescribed me suppository anti inflamitories, which ive tried to take but seriously... lol. So i've been on panadine forte and voltaren. I also have a sinus infection at the same time, so on antibiotics for that, so here comes the thrush.... sooooooooo over it all
