I want to apologise for my bluntness in this thread.

When I posted it I really did think "who the F cares about that crap", but now I think I'm on the defensive because I actually really have let myself go. I don't eat healthy, I don't exercise, I don't do anything for me, and I don't want to. So yeah, sorry, it's me not you.

still think the OP could have been worded better.

Young as in a child? I've always been girly and I've been doing this since being a teenager, it's what I like to do so I make sure I still find the time to do it for myself. When I don't make an effort with my appearance I don't feel like myself.
Doing all of this is the way I personally like to take pride in myself.

Sorry does that answer your question?

I'm just pretending I'm the only one in the world that can see it...
I'll watch people's eyes and see if they look at it and then say "Ohhhhh what?? Have I got food on my face..?" and try to brush the imaginary crumbs away.
Then they'll stumble over their words and get all flustered..!

I don't do any of these things on a regular basis and that's ok. I don't feel bad about one bit. I am who I am. I am not pretty (outside) and no how stuff i have done or put on I still wouldn't be. I am however a beautiful person on the inside and matters much more to me.

Yes you can be both. I prefer to concentrate on the personality rather than looks.

I don't look at it as "prettying myself up". To me it makes me more comfortable having hairless legs and arm pits, I don't obsess over my hair and makeup but like to look presentable but not to say I can't leave the house without it being done. I am a health freak when it comes to excercise and eating too. To me looking and feeling good is important.

Hahahaha. I can't do mo. No mo! And I'm obsessed with neat eyebrows. A good eyebrow shaping is better than a facelift. But I have dark eyebrows so they need to be kept in shape or trouble starts.

I'm lucky because I have nice, easy to cut brunette hair that doesn't cost much to look funky. I wear groovy clothes cos I want too. I shave when I can
be bothered, wax if when I like. It's a lucky dip for my lover! But I don't care how others look. Personality is what rocks my world.
    im pretty much the same.
after 10yrs of *having* to be 'wellgroomed' for work, its a nice break to wear no makeup and a ponytail!
plus im naturally gorgeous of course

some women are not into that and thats fine if your not girly your not girly. i do think its sad when people loose that though especially for the husband, my husband has always taken pride in himself and is in great shape.. being honest id be disappointed if he just change now he's s dad and he didn't shave, piled weight on and didn't take pride in himself he wouldnt be the man i married.
