In regards to husbands making there wives lunch.

    Mine does...

On the weekdays that he works, I make him breakfast and his lunch, whilst he spends his morning getting ready for work, and spending some time with dd.
When he gets home, I make us dinner whilst he baths, reads and puts dd to bed.

I stay at home during the week.
    He works 8-9 hour days.

When I work roles are reversed

On Saturdays I work 10 hours.
He makes me breakfast whilst I get ready for work, and spend time with DD.
He packs my lunch or drops it off at work as I work close by to home.
Then when I get home I bath, read and put dd to bed whilst he makes dinner.

    On Sunday's, it's family day.
We make breakfast together, and involve dd too, we usually have picnics at the park on a sunday so we both make it, we both bath her at night, read to her and put her to bed together. We don't do any drastic house cleaning on a Sunday. We just relax and worry about better things.
Sunday night dinners are always left overs, or take out night.

    It's pretty balanced.
Before we did this neither of us felt as though the other was pulling enough weight.
We just try and make it easier for each other and we respect the work we both do for each other.
I strive to make my husbands day easier and I'm grateful he does the same for me.

Funny, I've never seen a thread asking why won't my DH make me a sandwich in his spare time. I've never asked anyone to make my lunch.

DP announced he'd laugh his bum off if I packed fairy bread.

I want fairy bread now !

I ONCE offered to make MOTH lunch on his birthday - and I packed fairy bread. Poor man, imagine sitting in a site shed with 20~30 other trades in a building site and finding fairy bread, a pink cupcake and a lolly bag... Luckily I also lacked leftover spaghetti as well
