Thankyou so much for that! So articulate and I think every single single mum I am friends with could have said the same thing (just not as articulately lol)

There's an attitude that when you become a mother, you sacrifice everything for your kids. I think that is a poor example to kids, and that they need to learn that sometimes their parents come first, even if it is only occasionally. Sounds like you have the balance right

My poor younger cousin who is a single mum has been judged because she dares to go out once a fortnight with her friends. Apparently now she is a mum she can't have any fun, and the time spent lavished on her kids between these outings doesn't seem to count

You are one awesome (single) mummy!

TB&M I actually remember when you first posted that you had become single, I remember how broken, scared and unsure you sounded... and before long you were posting about how much you loved your life and I was like yeeeaaahhhh that's how us awesome single mums roll

OMG - you are so right - over a year and a half ago when the affair happened I felt like the rug had been swept from under my feet. I was pregnant and scared and just absolutely terrified of my future. If only I had a crystal ball hey

I couldn't read and not reply.

That was such a well written post. I'm sorry there are people judging you but FWIW I think you are an incredibly strong woman.
