This means we will still be out of pocket by $2,- a week.

This lump sum is great. Unfortunately not a lot of people will be putting the money in a separate account and transfer each week $7,- into their spendings account to compensate for the carbon tax.
A lot of people will see this lumpsum as a bonus and use it to pay for other things. Current bills, toys, luxuries, etc.
As I was discussing with my accountant, the government would've been better off just dividing up that lumpsum by 26 and give the families a bit extra every fortnight.
They did it with the baby bonus, so why not with this lumpsum?
I don't see how what other people do with the money effects you? As long as everyone can afford to pay there weekly bills then they should do as they wish with the money.

You know, I had a big reply typed out about how the misuse of this Clean Energy Advance payment was definitely effecting me and my finances, but I am just going to be the bigger person here and not get sucked into a sh!t fight.

    Have a good evening

Does this mean I'm getting 2 payments? I'm single with 1 child (4yrs old) and don't work at the moment.

Eta, just read that others are asking same thing as me

You get 1 lump sum payment.

And your FTB and PP will go up slightly.

I think for single parents we might get a PPS one and an FTB one?... just guessing. My online services is showing similar to yours.
I think the FTB A is around $110 per child and about $69 for FTB b per family. The estimator tells me i'm getting $533. So if only $289 is the FTB payment the rest has to be coming from somewhere else.

It seems like we get 2 advance payments and then from then on there will be an increase in payment? Because they both say advance payment. Will be interesting to see how much it ends up being.
