Default Obstetrician - Dr Rosina Musa - Sunnybank Private Hospital

    Hi everyone

This is my first post to bub hub and also my first pregnancy!
I'm currently 7 weeks pregnant - a surprise natural pregnancy after 6 years of trying all sorts of alternative and assisted reproductive therapies - so still trying to get my head around actually being pregnant!
My GP referred me to Dr Brad Armstrong however unfortunately he is completely booked as is Dr Heng Tang. I was very much looking forward to seeing one of these drs as I've only read good reports on them! Nevermind. The other OB in the group is Dr Rozeena Musa - apparently she is quite new to private practice having coming from the public sector.
I'm wondering if anyone can offer an opinion on Dr Musa - most importantly is she a good OB and is she friendly/approachable? I would very much like to stay at Sunnybank Private due to locality however if reports on Dr Musa aren't great will consider going to Mater/Wesley.

    Many thanks.

Dd was born at sunnybank private. The hospital is fantastic! And I found the midwives to be lovley and very helpful! I thoroughly enjoyed my 4days recuperating
Sorry I can't help with the ob I saw dr h o. She was nice and approachable however I had firm beliefs about natural birth and this didn't completely gel with her ideas. We negotiated alot throughout my pregnancy and (although not on the same page) she was happy to talk it through and came round a little.

My OB was Dr Ng so I can't comment on that part. But the hospital is amazing. Every single staff member from the midwives to the ladies that bring in your meals are all so friendly. Nothing is too much for any of them and they really make your stay comfortable. I can't imagine not having DD there. Enjoy your journey

I have Dr.Musa as my OB, she is very friendly and hands-on. I have been hospitalized twice due to threatened pre-mature labour and both times she was with me every step of the way - even visiting at 4:30 am in the wards when I was very distressed and in pain!

    I highly reccomend her!
