    Default Hair loss (post natal)

Has anyone started multing after they've had their bubs? My DD is 1.5 yrs and ever since having her my hair falls out everywhere. And I read somewhere it's got to do with post natal hormones or something. Not sure. Is there anything to stop it or at least reduce the amount of hair I'm losing?

Aaarrrrgggghhhh, my hair is from one end of the house to the other. I can't remember how long it went on after DS1 but it's seriously driving me crazy this time.

Yes I have. Starting washing hair with bicarb soda & vinegar for nearly 2 weeks and it's getting better. A friend of mine said that she took prenatal vitamins and it helped.

I'm having that problem too! I had bub 3 months ago and I'm shredding everywhere, im scared I'm going to go bald! Apparently it's caused by hormones changing and going back to its pre- pregnancy state.

I used to malt abut before ds, retained ever single strand of hair during pg then started shedding again after he was born.

I do have very thick curly/ wave hair though.

Mine started falling out a couple of months post baby and stopped recently at 7months. Its happened with both my kids and its amazing you can lose so much hair and still have any left! There's nothing you can do to stop it, its hormonal.

My hair fell out in clumps for so long I thought I would go bald!! It eventually stopped but did take a long time.

Mines still thinning badly and the baby is 18 months. I am still breastfeeding, maybe that messes things up for longer. It's so thin now its worrying.

Yep I remember being freaked out because DD was like 8 months old when it started happening!!! I knew i'd lose a little, but I thought it would be straight after babe was born, not 8 months and onwards! It used to fall out in huge long clumps! Petrified me! I sat on google for hours trying to find out if it was normal!

    It is.

I started getting better when she was round 14 months i think, then was back to normal round 2.
