I'm so in. I haven't been very well lately and have put on 7kg. My current weight is 68kg and my goal weight is 60-62kg. I'm breastfeeding and have had some nutritional deficiencies so I'm not going to limit any major food groups but I am cutting out sugar and wheat. I'm now into week 3 of C25k and am really loving it. I also have a six week gym membership and plan to go 3-5 times a week, building up as my fitness improves. This thread is perfectly timed for me, so thank you Delirium.
Looking forward to having some progress to report on Friday

I'm in. I've been exercising for a couple of months now, and was running a few times a week as well, but we've been moving into our new house and I've been really slack for the last month. We are all moved but still not unpacked yet, so I've got more time now to get back into it.

The good news is that I didn't put any weight in in that month, but my measurements went up by 1 - 0.5 cm in a couple of places

I currently weigh 78 and my goal weight is 65.

I'll keep going to PT twice a week, and will do at least 3 runs. Hopefully I can get DH to clear the garage so I can get to the treadmill. And I'll try and get my portion sizes under control.

    Welcome to everyone

Is fri weigh in ok or would you all prefer Sun for the full week? So far 10-15 kg seems to be the figure and at a healthy kilo a week that's obtainable.

Wanted to get to the gym this morning but DD has a playmate coming over, so it looks like tonight is the go. I've been aiming for a minimum of 400 cal burn each time with my weights.

Just as an idea - to lose 1 kilo a week you need a deficit of 3500 cals. So at 400 cals 5 days a week = 2000 cals, which means I need to cut 1500 cals a week from my diet, which is around 200 cals a day. Totally doable.

holy ducks butt, you're right, I just googled my gym has a sheet on the wall saying 3500 cals, but that's for a pound according to google. Tsk tsk to my gym thanks for clarifying that.

I'd like to weigh in on Sunday as I've only just started and I'm so glad I seen this post (I know I have been so slack avoiding the scales and exercise but I took the plunge and as we speak I'm on my treadmill) which was buried in our spare room, hoping to do at least 45 mins a day! I'm also getting my hair redone tommorow after attempting to colour my hair yesterday !!!

Welcome everyone we might make weigh in's Sun since that seems to suit most and is a week after I started the thread.

I've been working hard at the gym every night, trying to burn a min of 300 cals plus weights. I cheated and jumped on the scales lol 69kg so I've lost a kilo hopefully by sun I've lost another 500g.

Diet has been good although I cooked a roast tonight I had 1 potato and a slice of beef. I've cut out 90% of my carbs, I think that's where the loss has come from.

I was thinking about you kanga, you were in that group with me and we both lost a bit so here's hoping we can do it again
