Had to go looking for them, to see what all the hype was, and HOLY MOLY! She is very clever. That's awesome. It looks like she has taken the design you and her worked out together and is using it for other quilts too.

I hope it works out in your favour.

Remember you don't owe her anything, even though it feels like it.

Hopefully she just overlooked it when she posted the listing...

yeah they are amazing. she asked me if it would be ok to use my design to mke other quilts to sell and said she wouldnt be offended if i said no. see thats how nice she was being. so this has just floored me.

and TBH i really thought i was getting them for a steal...because they are awesome.

but like i said, if they were priced how they are now, i would not have told her to go ahead because its not what i can afford.

    >_< sucky situation

if you go to her sold items, and see there is a very similiar quilt but with racoon mario in the centre, and the items all around. and they were priced at 125. so when i approached her, i said "i want a quilt like that, but with mario kart in the middle and mario kart items surrounding" so i dont understand a price jump which is more than double the original price per quilt.

I want to see them and can't find them

I'm sorry you are having this added stress right now. Hopefully she will honour the original price for you

That's just it Mischa - it makes sense that she'd raise her prices, but not FOR YOU because when you agree to the purchase, it was with that other price in mind.

As amazing as they are, that's just too much, it's a LOT of money for bedding. I agree with PPs, if she wont negotiate a lower price just say you are sorry but it's way out of your budget, you simply can't afford it. I understand the kids will be really disappointed, but would they be that fussed if you got a different Mario quilt/doona cover? What a disappointment

wow I really hope the seller gets back to you with good news because that quilt is awesome! You have excellent taste and lucky kids OP! I'd be freaking out too.
If it doesn't work out you could try complaining on Regretsy.com, they're pretty good with that sort of thing...
