    Default Nap-time TT training

    Hi all

I'm just after some advice as I can't seem to find anything much via google. My dd is nearly 3 and has been day TT for over a year now and is mostly pretty good (sometimes doesn't make it in time and has little wet spots in undies). Night-time and nap-time are a different story. She ALWAYS has a wet nappy when she gets up and sometimes a dirty one too (this is the worst part!). I'm trialling (again) going to bed in the day with undies only. We're on day 4 now and she's still wetting. I ask her if she's doing it while asleep or awake and she says awake but I'm not 100% sure.

    So...

Do I continue on and she'll get it soon?

Do I just leave it and try again when she wakes up with dry nappies?
Chaning her pooey nappies are just horrid!!

    Please help!

We found with our DD that by making her wee before a nap and putting her on the potty immediately after she woke up we avoided accidents. It took about a week but in this time we used a cloth nappy so she would feel the wet but not drench the bed.

I do mean immediately - in 1-2min. Same for overnights.

My mum always said that babies and kids don't wee/poo in their sleep. They wake up albeit briefly - poo/wee and then go back to sleep.

Our DD is 20 mths old.

I have this same problem with DS. We put him in pull ups for sleeps and make him go before bed and nap time, but he is still wet when he wakes. I thought that I might try to put undies on him with the pull up over it so he feels the wet.

We're on day 11 now and have only had 2 days of success. Not sure how long to persevere!

    Default Nap-time TT training

My DD wears pull ups at night so that she can till go to the toilet with ease. Thy are dry pretty much every night BUT as soon as we try undies at night she wets the bed every time. So we are waiting until spring/summer to try again as we think maybe she doesn't want o get out of her warm bed to go as its cold.

    Default Nap-time TT training

I would give it a miss. My daughter is 4, and still wears nappy pants to bed. She is still very wet in the mornings, I won't be doing anything for a while. If your child is wet after every nap and every morning, they are not ready. I actually think my 2 year old son will be dry at night before my daughter.

If they are waking with a heavy nappy they are not ready. This is either due to heavy sleeping or just not wanting to bother. My kids were both over 4 when night trained. If you push it you won't succeed, she will get it eventually.

i used to wake dd at regular intervals throughout the night.. even tho she grumbled and carried on, i persisted, and she managed to wake up eventually and go if she needed to.
