Hey, yep i certainly did I started it on the Wednesday night, come Thursday i was so sick i had to leave work, dont remember the trip home, then friday i was still sick, this lasted for about 4 days, cried all the time over the stupidist things. and a few days after i finished the tablets the sickness came back but not as bad. So i know what to expect. I was unmonited for that round and wasnt happy with the clinic i was with so I changed to a different one but cant get into see the dr till the 17th of May, so I doing this round myself (which will be no different to last cycle) , also had very sore ovaries for about 1 week after the last tablet too

Aww, that sounds horrible! I am going unmonitored by my FS but have been told to see GP straight away if i have any problems (am going through public FS as i didn't like the private ones, they were really narky and weren't listening to what i wanted). I am a bit like that (emotional) at the moment with the stuff i'm on currently (its called primolut n) and DH hates it lol. I am worried about clomid how i'll be, i recalculated when i should be starting it and it could be as early as the last few days of this month up til the 3/4th may. am excited and nervous at once.

What did the pain in your ovaries feel like? was it a stabbing sort of pain?

    hi ladies

im starting my first clomid cycle at the end of this month. i took the first of 5days of Provera today to bring on af, then start the clomid! i rarely ovulate and cycles were anywhere from 25 - 55 days.

its feels like its been a long wait for us to get to this point where there is some actual hope. a lot of friends have fallen pregnant and had their babies since we started trying, including my younger sister, who, decided to start ttc out of the blue and got a bfp the moment she stopped taking the pill! my niece is now 4 months old.

i don't have any friends who understand and have been told a million time that 'it will happen' or my favourite 'oh won't they just give you some tablets or something?'. no one seems to know what to say when they find out we are having problems. i have found the whole 17 months very tough emotionally - now i don't tell anyone now.

it all gets me quite down sometimes. and then i worry about what will happen if this doesn't work? we can't really afford ivf. it stresses me out that we are pinning alot of hopes on clomid.

    tantom
    - im worried about side effects, that i might turn into an even more crazy lady on hormones!!

yes definitly! The one we're seeing now is a public one (the first was private) and he's so much better. although we're not actually paying him he's listening to us about what we want more then the one we would have had to pay upwards of 10 grand to!

    Hi All,

I just did my first cycle of Chlomid (50mg days 2-6) and had some side effects, but nothing too major. Just the hot flushes and sore breasts. I did have trouble sleeping but don't know if that is more to do with worrying about it all, then the meds.

I wish you all the best of luck, I hope it works for you.

Hi there! I haven't been able to get onto bub hub for a day (internet issues - argh!) and have only been able to get on now. Great to see everyone joining the thread!!

C2p08, yeah it really isn't fair the comments people make who have no idea how this all feels. None of my friends really want to know much about whats going on. I can't believe you got comments like that, thats really insensitive, you poor thing!! If only it were that simple for everyone!!! And I can't believe your sister did that, especially after your m/c, I'm so sorry to hear, thats truly awful & that would've been very upsetting. I took about a week off work after my m/c & on the first day back, two people announced their pregnancy's....very hard to deal with & now seeing them everyday..

Tantom, you poor thing, I'm sorry to hear you had so many side effects from it, thats terrible! I'm glad you changed doctors since you weren't happy with yours. I hope this next round is more kind to you!! I'm meant to start taking my first round while we're on holidays...now I'm not sure if I should but so keen to start!

Jmiller, you poor thing, I understand how that feels. When we first started TTC it seemed that everyone else did too & all got their BFP's straight up, its just not fair. My friend the other night was telling me how she got pregnant by missing one pill....how is that fair??? I've been getting very down about TTC too & my friends don't seem to understand either. I find their comments can sometimes be hurtful. I really hope clomid works for all of us! We'd struggle to afford IVF too.

Tormy, we're doing the monitoring with FS too. My cycles are really long (a year!!!!) so I don't ovulate either. I hope AF comes soon for you so you can start!!

Please forgive if I've missed anyone!! Its great to have so many to talk too going through the same thing around the same time!!
