    Default Severe bloating

Does anyone or has anyone ever experienced severe bloating? I am overweight (95kg) but I am experiencing sever bloat which increases during the day. I do not seem to pass wind, but rather my abdomen hurts, mainly my upper abdomen.

Does anyone have any idea what I can do about it? Thanks

Do you know if you have any food intolerances?
I have quite a few and get extremely bloated when I'm silly enough to eat the food anyway.
I found cutting out preservatives and some carbs and eating all fresh foods (steak/chicken and veggies/salad) helped a lot.
Try some warm water with lemon too!

Starting a food diary might help you to identify any food triggers. When I'm pregnant, cabbage, onions and fizzy drinks would bloat the bejeezus out of me - it's not nice.

As mum2b09 said, warm water can help.

thanks ladies. I will keep that in mind, I also think a doctors appointment may be in order too. it's just getting out of hand.

Also, I have noticed that I get the bloat after anything I eat or drink, even if it is just a glass of water.

Bloating is mostly caused by Salt.

Drinking lots of water is a great way to reduce bloating. Because Water washes out the excess salt from your system which then inturn actually reduces your bloating.

I had no idea salt is basically the main bloating cause until about a month ago.

As my sister says. Regardless of whether you are thirsy or not. Drink a glass of water every 2 hours.

After having similar symptons for over 13 years a freidn sugested I get checked for Gall stones as she had them and thought it sounded familiar. I strongly urge you to get it tested too. It's a 20 minute Ultra sound.
