Ruby usually he just goes in himself, looks at what damage that there is and gets to fixing it. If you are travelling he sometimes will do an appt say on Friday then surgery saturday. A few of the girls met him the first time after the surgery itself.
Sadly the ultrasounds that my GP told me were fine, Prof V looked at for 30 seconds and found plenty of scar tissue. So take your films with you or email them to him if you can.
We have a support group too. I will pm you the details. Beautiful bunch of women and a wealth of knowledge in this journey.

Thanks MrsBtobe- I just did a quick search and it says I need to have posted 5 times before I can send and receive PM's.

Ruby, agree with the advice you've been given as you do have some clear risk factors for Asherman's. Hope it turns out not to be the case for you, but if it does you will be in the best possible hands with Prof V. Good luck!

Mods, we need to make this a sticky again so women in this situation can easily access this information. Not sure why it no longer is Will PM one of the mods and see if it can be moved to the pregnancy loss section as a sticky.

So have booked in with Prof V- mid Oct....no consult, just going straight to the hospital morning of surgery.... Quick question though- Mere said not to email my ultrasound pics- just the reports- which say that there is no problem?? Is that normal? Will Prof V go in without looking at them?

Whether he looks at them or not he will make his own assessment when he does your hysteroscopy. He doesn't hold much stead in the assessment of scar tissue by non AS specialists.

Great that you got a date so quickly and you will have an answer very soon Good luck!

Hi again! I have a couple more questions if someone can help me out? I received all of my surgery info yesterday and have been booked for a laparoscopy + hysteroscopy (glad I have PHI!), but am just wondering if I will need to stay in hospital overnight or is it just day surgery? My DH was initially unable to be with me in Sydney, but it looks like I will need someone to check me out and stay with me? Which means I will need to book flights etc for my DH too.......so wondering if this is the case or if the hospital will let me check out on my own at all?
    TIA

It's day surgery Ruby. You will be asked to nominate someone on your admission form who will be the contact after your surgery, transport you home and can stay with you overnight post surgery. Others travelling from interstate may have gotten around this?? So your DH will have to come unless you have a friend in Sydney who can help?

    Hi Ladies,

I had a d&c on Tuesday due to a miscarriage and this will have been my third d&c in total. Now I am completely worried that I will have scarring due to the multiple d&c's and subsequently infertility. Can someone please advise what the first steps would be? Would I need to look into anything further if I do get my period back within the next few months or should I be seeking follow up appointments with a specialist regardless of whether or not I get my period? I just don't know where to from here
