My 4 year old fitted in that pram with a good 25cm to spare, he is 110cm, but you would have him in the top where my 3 year old fitted, he is 105cm.

I like the mountain buggy urban http://mountainbuggy.com/ which also has the scooter, you would have to go s/h to keep in the budget tho.

Thanks thermolicious re: height. DS is 90cm so should be plenty of room that way.

Food for thought with the mountain buggy plus one - the seating looks a bit different to the PT and the accessibility? And yes a little more expensive..

Um I thought the mountain buggy has been manufactured in China since 2009?

Anyone want to compare the Steelcraft strider to the Phil and ted explorer?

I'm subscribing to the thread, cos I'm in the same boat. I love the BJCS, but a bit pricey. Would love to find something else too that's just as good or better with a bit lower price range!

I have heard the strider is much more bulky and wider than the PT though? We just squeeze a shopping trolley (and I mean you gotta give it a good push!) through our grocery checkout so am wondering how a strider would go?

Does anyone know the weight limits for the strider compared with PT?
