    Default Maternity opaque stockings/pantyhose/tights?

Anyone know where I can get reasonable quality opaques for over bump wear for reasonable $$? I am dubious about the ones on Ebay but don't want to spend $24 on a pair of tights....

Dunno the price but yesterday I saw good quality bump tights at Target. They've just got new maternity stock in & have some nice stuff currently.

I just bought regular tights and then snipped down the front seam a few inches so that they would sit comfortably under my belly.

I did this pre-pregnancy too as it avoids the yucky muffin top look.

I got mine from Myer, I think Ambre brand or something smilier?

    They were great :-)

I'm loving Ambra tights too. I bought a few different ones from Myer on the weekend - the fleece lined ones are my favourite, as they are quite thick.

They are quite low though, mine are sitting just under my little bump (only 18+3). There seemed to be a few types of maternity specific ones at Myer, that cover the bump, but I haven't tried any of them.

My favourite cheap leggings were Platinum Body ones, but I can't seem to find them anymore.

I love Ambra too! I got the Ambra Opaque Baby Bump Maternity Tights in opaque and they are a great fit. The main reason I like them is because they sit up and over your bump, so give your hips a nice smooth look rather than the "muffin top" look you sometimes get if they sit low - good for wearing dresses etc over the top.

I ordered them online through Queenbee and they were only $16.95 (free delivery too!!)

I brought the target ones and really like them. They are nice and thick so look good and really comfy going over my bump.

Great stuff- thanks for all the helpful replies, I tried the snipping the seam but I am a victim of the jelly belly under the bump (2 previous kiddies!) so under bump felt weird to me, I will waddle into Target and Myer today and check them out- I don't think we have a Mothercare in Tassie unfortunately.

I have previously bought mine from Myer. From memory they weren't much more expensive than normal opaques, but just a different size.
