    Default Diet question

    Anyone doing a high protein diet? does it work and does it work fast?
    Trying to get this last 5kgs off. So far lost 19kgs and no matter what i do, just cannot shift it.

    I always do high protein diets when I start to get porky. Works great for me, but you have to be dedicated and really know your stuff because even a small mistake can set you back.

    I've just started the Dukan. I'm only on day 2 but hopefully should have results by the end of the week. I'll let you know

    My dp did this diet.. Her breath smelt like rotting meat lol

    I did the old Atkins diet once (I think it has been modified in recent years) and it is high protein, high fat and very low carb and I dropped 20kg almost overnight but by the end I felt really ill and like 99% of quick weight loss techniques I ended up putting the 20kg plus more back on when I stopped.

    You may find that the weight you are at now is where you body wants to be. What can start the weight moving is having a blow out day and then go back on to your weight loss diet - it kind of scares the metabolism in to working again.

    i want to try the dukan diet, but after looking at the first phase, i don't really like many things on there.... BUT.... i'll still give it a go.... and i'll definately have to buy some gum. haha.
