Question for the second time Mums...

Just curious, how long do you usually wait after getting a positive test to go to the doctor?

First baby: yes - super excited I might add
Married for just over 7 months
What state or city you live in: ACT
Work: Public Servant- aren't all Canberrans! lol
Preference for boy or girl? Would be happy to just get pregnant and have a baby but I think it would be nice to have a boy first.
Will you be finding out the gender? No, we like surprises!
Nursery ideas: White. I'm a massive fan of white for babies. I just think its very angelic. But then again i'm sure i'll be happy with anything I get given. My sister has 5 kids so i'm sure there will be some hand-me-downs of all colours etc.

I am super excited. It's been 2 weeks since my d&c (I should add it wasn't for a miscarriage) and I've got my period . I'm probably the only woman to ever be happy about that! But it means that we can start a fresh and hopefully we will be on track for a BFP in the very near future. Bring on ovulation and loads of BDing!!!!!!

For my DD I got my BFP on a Monday at 12 dpo and went to the doctor on the Saturday (when AF was 1 day late) This was partly because I had to work all week but mostly because I was in shock (even though it was planned) and needed some time for it to sink in. I kept doing tests every morning that week. By the Saturday the dr didn't offer me a blood test because I was a POAS addict. Since I went private she just gave me a referral for an ob and had my first app with him at 8 weeks. I think I will go to the dr next time once I have a BFP and once AF is a few days late.
