Oh no! Im sorry to heart you aren't well.

I got them in my second year of uni. They were on my right hip bone and started out kind of itchy and then became a kind of rash, them made this crazy pattern as the nerve endings were inflamed (or something, my non medical explanation) I saw the dr, and I think I was told to rest. It felt like the exhaustion you get with glandular fever except not so bad.

I could only be awake for 10 mins at a time, which made uni very difficult but I got through my exams. Lasted a few weeks I think. Was a while back now.

    Sending you healthy vibes!

I've had them. Noticed a weird rash near my ear lobe and across cheekbone. It didn't hurt at all but maybe it was a mild case. Was put on antibiotics straight away.

I had them a few years ago. Woke up with a pimply rash above my eye. Over the course of the day it started to sting. Went to gp who insisted it was an allergic reaction and sent me home with cortisone cream. By the next morning my eye was swollen shut, my whole face hurt and I felt like I'd been hit by a truck. Went to emergency where I was rushed through because it was an 'eye injury' and diagnosed with shingles. Luckily I went because my retina was swollen and I was lucky not to lose sight in that eye.

I was put on antibiotics, antivirals, anti inflammatories and pain killers. I remember the antivirals made me feel nauseous and I slept almost non stop for two or three days. I still have a scar.

Definitely go to the doctor tomorrow because the sooner you can get on antivirals after the rash appears the better.

My dad had shingles 3 weeks ago. The doctor told him if he have come in sooner there's some medication that catches it really quickly. If not it takes a couple of weeks for them to go. I hope you caught yours quickly

Absolutely get to a doctor ASAP. They can administer the 'vaccination ' and this will help greatly.
I hope you're feeling better soon.
