I met DF online nearly 6 years ago. Not through online dating, but by chance really through a Facebook/MySpace type website. My profile came up on the homepage as a 'Who is online' type thing as DF was on the homepage. He says he saw my picture and just had to MSG me, so signed up and sent me a message. The rest is history lol.

I signed up to Plenty of Fish and met a couple of guys but no one I was interested in lol. One guy just didn't get that I wasn't interested either...kept texting me all the time trying to get me to change my mind, I was like no I'm not suddenly going to fall in love with you!

Having said that though, DP and I were introduced via a mutual friend on Facebook, I went to meet him and we've been inseparable ever since I think you just have to try not to expect anything.

Are you wanting happy ever after, or just a roll in the hay?

For casual sex it's great -- we (chicks) are in the minority so we can take our pick . I had to weed through a few duds, but it's worth the while.

I was a victim of identity theft. I had a profile on RSVP and all my photos were stolen as well as my bio and put onto another web site where someone was pretending to be me and getting men to send money!

I found out through a date because he googled me (he was in IT) and addressed his confusion with me over dinner one night. When he realized i had no idea what he was going on about he took his lap top out and showed me. I was mortified!! So we then sent an email to the web manager and threatened legal action and within 4 hours it was wiped. I have not been on dating sites since then (last November) and now go by an alias on the net.

    Be careful!!!

One of my friends separated with her partner about 6 months ago and signed up with Oasis Active or whatever it is. She said she was sick of meeting the same ********* at clubs and stuff but to be honest the guys on there are just the same. She hasn't really had much luck. I think most of the guys on there are only after one thing. But hey it works for some and not for others.
