    I spoke to my sister who works for centrelink and she said the may payment is an advance and then from June, FTB payments will go up slightly for the higher cost of living from the carbon tax.

    They don't know how much it will be as it goes off everyone's different incomes.

    My centrelink page says to expect a payment in May, but doesnt tell me how much. It's all pretty confusing, guess i'll know for sure when it hits my account!

    Pity wages wont go up to cover the higher cost
