    Hi I had this in my first pregnancy and ended up having a glass of warm water with some honey before bed, and a banana 10 mins b4 anything else in the morning. Worked wonderfully first try after weeks of being very uncomfortable. Theory was that the constipation I had was caused by lack of lubrication as the digestive system slowed right down to suck out as many nutrients as possible.

    I remember when I was heavily pregnant and so constipated. I skolled a litre of water and did laps of our backyard. That got things going! I always found upping my water intake and doing some walking (or any physical activity) helped.

    Yes, agree with this, me too.... I was taking Elevit, and was so severely constipated, I felt like i was going to just die. I'd scream and cry, omg, it was awful.. i'll never forget it. Soon as I changed, it helped. Also, i found eating alot of strawberries helped massively... (apparently if you eat ''heaps'' of strawberries, i was told it will have a laxative effect... but it made me regular. i stopped with eating the 2 punnets a day, and straightaway i got a bit constipated.. try it.
