My boys were 9pd 11.5oz (4.41kg) and 9pd 9.5oz (4.35kg) and they didnt even fit size 0000. They were straight into size 000. DS2 is now 10mths and has been in size 1 since about 7-8mths.

Id just buy a few size 0000 and mostly 000.

My DD was 7lb 10oz & was in 0000 for maybe a month...but she is a chubby bubby & very tall. At almost 7months now & she is into size 1s and was 10.1kg at 6mths (last time I weighed her).
We had a few 0000 but mostly 000.

I wouldn't waste money on 0000 ever again. I had a heap for ds and he never wore any of them.

At 9lb 8oz he went straight into 000... And he never lost weight, started gaining from day 1 so by 3 weeks he was into 00. :O

It depends on each individual baby!

My 1st dd was 6pound n in 00000 for 3 weeks and then 0000 for month and a half then 000 till she was roughly 6-7 months old,

She was tiny, at 9 months old i cud still hold her in one arm breastfeeding while walk round the shops

My 2nd dd was was 8.15 pounds. (all in length)
She went start to a 0000 for like a week then 000 n she was in size 1 before 1 yrs old.
At the month shes about to turn 3 n i just bought her size 6 pj's so theyl still fit next yr.
I have to take them in on the sides so they dont swallow her but for arm n leg length she needs big sizes!

My ds was 4kg at birth and in 0000's for a few weeks, 000 was too big on him initially. I ended up having to buy more 0000's as I'd assumed he'd go straight into 000's. But he was only in 000's for about 6 - 8 weeks (maybe less) & 00 for the same time.

My dd fit 0000 JUST at birth ... she was 4.4kg. I put a few 0000's on her in the first couple of weeks, but in reality she fit 000's from birth - they were only a tiny bit loose. My issue was that I bought / got given HEAPS of 000's and my dd was out of 000 in 6 weeks. My dd was born at the end of September and she had heaps of summer 000's that she never wore cause it wasn't really hot enough. I'd assumed she'd be in them til she was at least 3 months old, but she was fully out of 000's by 2 months and then out of 00's by 4 months. She's now 6 months and growing out of some 0's and really needing size 1! Eik! (She was 8.5kg when she was weighed last week).

DS was 300g smaller than DD, (who never fit into 0000, or 000 with feet), and we've been able to use the 0000 clothes we had from DD.
I didn't buy any 0000 this time, but we've had to go and get some smaller singlets and things, now that we know we'll get some good use from them
