    Default Baby clothing size..

How long will a baby generally wear a size 0000 for? My DS was 8 pounds 4 and half ounces at birth but that was so long ago I forget what size that made him. I've bought heaps of 0000 sized clothing for this one and expect her to be wearing them for, at the very least, the first month..?
Or should I be buying more 000?

What weight baby equals what size clothes? (if that makes sense!)

I would say definitely buy more 000 i had both DD (3.5kgs born) and DS (4.1kgs born) in 000s from day 1. They were into 00s within a month esp DS. Both mine were long babies and 0000 never fit them lengthwise!

Good luck, there's so much great bargains at the moment, my local myer have lots of racks at 75% off ticketed price lots of 000s !!!

My DD was born at 2.9kg so she wore 00000s but moved into 0000 about 1 month later and now at 3 months (3.8kgs) is about to hit 000s...

My DD was 3.14kg and was in 00000 for 2 months then 0000 for a very long time.
I think it depends on how fast they grow. My DD is still tiny 27 months and just fitting in to size 1.

DD was 4.67kg... she was in 0000 for about a week or two, and only some that were rather stretchy. lol. She was big.

I'd probably buy mostly 000... and if your baby requires a smaller size, then go get some then.

My DS was 3.77kg (8lb4oz) at birth and wore 0000. He was in these for about the first 6 weeks or so. He's still wearing 000 now at 3 months old and he'd be about 6.5kg now.

I find different brands of clothing to be very varying in size. He can still fit in some 0000 onesies that I got from Big W for example and he is still wearing the 0-3 month size clothing from Pumpkin Patch.

Screw size 0000, waste of money. The 000 might be a bit loose but I think they look cuter that way. DD was 4.2kg and exploded from there. By 5 months she was in size 1! Wearing a lot of 2s now at 7 months but thankfully she's starting to slow down. She was 11.7kg at 6 months but she's lost the 0.7 because she's been sick lately.

It depends on if you like a loose fit or a tight fit. My friend seems to have the motto if she can get it on them it fits, and they walk around in really tight small clothes.

My first was in 0000 for about 2months she was 8'4 but lost alot of weight and went down to 00000. But she grew and gained weight really quickly compared to my little DD2

I didn't have enough 0000 and my chubba was over 9 pound. He was in them for nearly 3 months, and is the 90th percentile for his age so his a big boy... I deffos didn't think he would be in them that long so I'd make sure you have a fair few things... Maybe get 2nd hand stuff if you can incase bub grows quick...
